George was the son of Benjamin Pool and Rebecca Caroline Butterfield. George died Dec. 24, 1946 Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois, at 78 years of age. At 23 years of age George became the father of Marion Edgar Pool Abingdon, Knox County, Illinois, Feb. 28, 1892. At 25 years of age George became the father of Edna Mae Pool Abingdon, Knox County, Illinois, May 21, 1894. At 34 years of age George became the father of Ethel Faye Pool Jan. 6, 1903. At 37 years of age George became the father of Lloyd George Pool Abingdon, Knox County, Illinois, July 23, 1905. (See George Emerson Pool for the continuation of this line.)
