He married Hannah Earnhart Miami County, Ohio, May 1, 1864. Hannah was born Miami County, Ohio Dec. 24, 1840. Hannah was the daughter of John Earnhart and Elizabeth Mary Robinson. Hannah died 1925 Troy, Miami County, Ohio, at 84 years of age. At 24 years of age Hannah became the mother of Eve Collins 1865.

Samuel became the father of Eve Collins 1865.

Samuel A. Collins and Hannah Earnhart had the following children:
