1. Sgt. Robert¹ Boltwood was born Essex, England 1620. Sgt. died April 6, 1684 Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland, at 63 years of age.

He married Mary Gernor Rice abt. 1644. Mary was born 1626. Mary died May 14, 1687 Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland, at 60 years of age. Mary became the mother of Samuel Boltwood abt. 1648. Mary became the mother of Sarah Boltwood Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland, abt. 1650. Mary became the mother of Lydia Boltwood Hadley, Connecticut, abt. 1653. Mary became the mother of Martha Boltwood Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland, abt. 1654.

Sgt. became the father of Samuel Boltwood abt. 1648. Sgt. became the father of Sarah Boltwood Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland, abt. 1650. Sgt. became the father of Lydia Boltwood Hadley, Connecticut, abt. 1653. Sgt. became the father of Martha Boltwood Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland, abt. 1654.

Sgt. Robert Boltwood and Mary Gernor Rice had the following children:

2 i. Samuel² Boltwood was born abt. 1648. Samuel died Feb. 29, 1703/1704 at 55 years of age. He married Sarah Lewis abt. 1670. Sarah was born Farmington, Connecticut 1652. Sarah was the daughter of William Lewis. Sarah died Aug. 10, 1722 at 70 years of age.

3 ii. Sarah Boltwood was born Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland abt. 1650. Sarah died July 14, 1726 Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut, at 76 years of age. She married Isaac Warner Hatfield, Hampshire County, Maryland, May 31, 1666. Isaac was the son of Andrew Warner and Mary Humphrey. Isaac became the father of Lydia Warner Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland, 1678. (See Isaac Warner for the continuation of this line.)

At 28 years of age Sarah became the mother of Lydia Warner Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland, 1678.

4 iii. Lydia Boltwood was born Hadley, Connecticut abt. 1653. She married John Warner Jr. Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland, April 2, 1674. John was born Ipswich, Essex, England Sept. 26, 1649. John was the son of John Warner Sr. and Priscilla Symonds. John died Jan. 21, 1723/1724.

5 iv. Martha Boltwood was born Hadley, Hampshire County, Maryland abt. 1654. Martha died Sept. 22, 1710 at 56 years of age. She married Daniel Warner Hatfield, Hampshire County, Maryland, April 1, 1674. Daniel was born Hatfield, Hampshire County, Maryland abt. 1642. Daniel was the son of Andrew Warner and Mary Humphrey. Daniel died April 30, 1692 Hatfield, Hampshire County, Maryland, at 49 years of age.
