1. Julius¹ Barnes was born Oneida County, New York Aug. 27, 1826.

He married Sarah Fuller Kellogg Peoria, Peoria County, Illinois, Jan. 30, 1853. Sarah was born Castleton, Rutland County, Vermont Feb. 24, 1829. Sarah was the daughter of Saxton Kellogg and Sarah Fuller. Sarah died Aug. 12, 1889 Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois, at 60 years of age. At 24 years of age Sarah became the mother of Martin Julius Barnes Peoria County, Illinois, Dec. 4, 1853. At 26 years of age Sarah became the mother of Mary Annette Barnes Peoria County, Illinois, Nov. 22, 1855. At 28 years of age Sarah became the mother of Rufus Augustas Barnes Stark County, Illinois, Oct. 29, 1857. At 31 years of age Sarah became the mother of Franklin Ammi Barnes Stark County, Illinois, March 14, 1860. At 34 years of age Sarah became the mother of Alvin Saxton Barnes Stark County, Illinois, Nov. 23, 1863. At 36 years of age Sarah became the mother of Edson Sidney Barnes Stark County, Illinois, July 2, 1865. At 38 years of age Sarah became the mother of Frederick Henry Barnes Stark County, Illinois, Jan. 18, 1868. At 42 years of age Sarah became the mother of Emily Lovina Barnes Stark County, Illinois, Aug. 20, 1871.

At 27 years of age Julius became the father of Martin Julius Barnes Peoria County, Illinois, Dec. 4, 1853. At 29 years of age Julius became the father of Mary Annette Barnes Peoria County, Illinois, Nov. 22, 1855. At 31 years of age Julius became the father of Rufus Augustas Barnes Stark County, Illinois, Oct. 29, 1857. At 33 years of age Julius became the father of Franklin Ammi Barnes Stark County, Illinois, March 14, 1860. At 37 years of age Julius became the father of Alvin Saxton Barnes Stark County, Illinois, Nov. 23, 1863. At 38 years of age Julius became the father of Edson Sidney Barnes Stark County, Illinois, July 2, 1865. At 41 years of age Julius became the father of Frederick Henry Barnes Stark County, Illinois, Jan. 18, 1868. At 44 years of age Julius became the father of Emily Lovina Barnes Stark County, Illinois, Aug. 20, 1871.

Julius Barnes and Sarah Fuller Kellogg had the following children:

5 iv. Franklin Ammi Barnes was born Stark County, Illinois March 14, 1860.

6 v. Alvin Saxton Barnes was born Stark County, Illinois Nov. 23, 1863.

7 vi. Edson Sidney Barnes was born Stark County, Illinois July 2, 1865.

8 vii. Frederick Henry Barnes was born Stark County, Illinois Jan. 18, 1868.

9 viii. Emily Lovina Barnes was born Stark County, Illinois Aug. 20, 1871.
