He married Sarah Stratford Dec. 30, 1867. Sarah was born Wellington, New Zealand May 3, 1842. Sarah was the daughter of George Alder Stratford and Mary Ann Hollingshead. Sarah died Nov. 1, 1926 Carterton, Wairarapa, New Zealand, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred Nov. 3, 1926 Carterton, Wairarapa, New Zealand. At 26 years of age Sarah became the mother of Catherine Mary Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Sept. 28, 1868. At 28 years of age Sarah became the mother of George Philip Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Dec. 6, 1870. At 29 years of age Sarah became the mother of Ellen Navada Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, July 1, 1871. At 31 years of age Sarah became the mother of Bella Elizabeth Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Oct. 30, 1873. At 32 years of age Sarah became the mother of Howard Harold Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Oct. 1, 1874. At 33 years of age Sarah became the mother of Claud Walter Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Dec. 16, 1875. At 36 years of age Sarah became the mother of Keith Stratford Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, May 16, 1878. At 38 years of age Sarah became the mother of Ella Beatrice Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Oct. 9, 1880. At 39 years of age Sarah became the mother of Clifford Jeffrey Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Dec. 6, 1881. At 52 years of age Sarah became the mother of Leslie Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Jan. 11, 1895.

At 25 years of age Philip became the father of Catherine Mary Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Sept. 28, 1868. At 27 years of age Philip became the father of George Philip Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Dec. 6, 1870. At 28 years of age Philip became the father of Ellen Navada Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, July 1, 1871. At 30 years of age Philip became the father of Bella Elizabeth Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Oct. 30, 1873. At 31 years of age Philip became the father of Howard Harold Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Oct. 1, 1874. At 32 years of age Philip became the father of Claud Walter Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Dec. 16, 1875. At 34 years of age Philip became the father of Keith Stratford Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, May 16, 1878. At 37 years of age Philip became the father of Ella Beatrice Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Oct. 9, 1880. At 38 years of age Philip became the father of Clifford Jeffrey Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Dec. 6, 1881. At 51 years of age Philip became the father of Leslie Armstrong Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Jan. 11, 1895.

Philip James Armstrong and Sarah Stratford had the following children:

4 iii. Ellen Navada Armstrong was born Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand July 1, 1871.

5 iv. Bella Elizabeth Armstrong was born Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand Oct. 30, 1873.

6 v. Howard Harold Armstrong was born Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand Oct. 1, 1874. Howard died June 25, 1934 at 59 years of age.

7 vi. Claud Walter Armstrong was born Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand Dec. 16, 1875.

8 vii. Keith Stratford Armstrong was born Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand May 16, 1878. Keith died March 26, 1954.

9 viii. Ella Beatrice Armstrong was born Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand Oct. 9, 1880.

10 ix. Clifford Jeffrey Armstrong was born Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand Dec. 6, 1881.

11 x. Leslie Armstrong was born Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand Jan. 11, 1895.
