1. John Phillip¹ Beck was born Germany 1744. John died 1817 Davidson County, North Carolina, at 73 years of age.

He married Mary Catherine Unknown. Mary was born Germany 1745. At 18 years of age Mary became the mother of Mary Catherine Beck York County, Pensylvania, Feb. 5, 1764.

At 19 years of age John became the father of Mary Catherine Beck York County, Pensylvania, Feb. 5, 1764.

John Phillip Beck and Mary Catherine Unknown had the following child:

2 i. Mary Catherine² Beck was born York County, Pensylvania Feb. 5, 1764. Mary died Aug. 12, 1852 Tyro Township, Davidson County, North Carolina, at 88 years of age. She married Johann Adam Sweissgood York County, Pennsylvania, ca. 1779. Johann was born York Village, York County, Pennsylvania Aug. 1, 1752. Johann was the son of Laurentius "Lorentz" Schweissguth and Catherine Elizabeth Mayer. Johann died Oct. 11, 1833 Tyro Township, Davidson County, North Carolina, at 81 years of age. At 34 years of age Johann became the father of Andrew Madison Swicegood Davidson County, North Carolina, Aug. 11, 1786. (See Johann Adam Sweissgood for the continuation of this line.)

At 22 years of age Mary became the mother of Andrew Madison Swicegood Davidson County, North Carolina, Aug. 11, 1786.
