He was rushed to the Doctor, 10 miles away. After an examination and treatment, the Doctor confirmed that the eye was severely damaged and there was little chance he would be able to see out of that eye again.
This accident happened on a Wednesday morning. By late that afternoon the little boy became very sick, I suppose from shock. That evening he saw his Dad pickup his hat and Bible and start for the door. Knowing his Dad was going to Wednesday night prayer meeting, he called to him, "Daddy, Pray and ask Jesus to heal my eye".
Two weeks later when he was taken for a checkup, the Doctor was surprised and amazed at the way the eye had healed.
That accident happened over 50 years ago. Many Doctors have checked that eye and after hearing the story of the accident, rechecked the eye. Not one of the Doctors have found as much as a scratch, must less a scar.
