Peter Teipel was the first Teipel in my direct line to come to America. He emmigrated from Niederfelden, Regierungsbezirk, (governmental region), Arnsberg, Prussia, in 1847.

This is the information that I have found to date on this family...

Frank Teipel and Kate Radamar. Their names are found on the death certificate of their son, Peter Teipel.

Peter Teipel, born March 6, 1821 and died October 17, 1909. Buried October 21, 1909 at the Mother of God Cemetery. He married Gertrude Meiners, born April 10, 1828 in Germany, and died September 22, 1919 at her home in Covington, KY at the age of 91. Her obituary states that her family was one of the Pioneer residents of Covington. She is also buried in the Mother of God Cemetery.

2. Mary T. Teipel--born c 1855 in Ohio.
3. Elizabeth Teipel--born c1857in Ohio.
4. Peter Anthony Teipel--born c1859 in Kentucky. He died April 1892, in Covinton, KY. He is buried in the Mother of God Cemetery.
5. Joseph Teipel--born c1862 in Kentucky.
6. Frank Teipel--born c1865 in Indiana.
7. Henry Teipel--born March 10, 1871 in Kentucky. He married on January 25, 1893 to Anna Krull, daughter of Bernard Krull and Anna Hegel. Henry Teipel died February 17, 1951. Anna Krull Teipel died March 30, 1927. Both are buried in the Mother of God Cemetery.

2. Elmer Teipel--born c1898 in Ohio.
3. Elenora Teipel--born c1900 in Kentucky.
4. Camilla Teipel--born c1903 in Kentucky.
5. Hildegarde Teipel--born c1907 in Kentucky.
6. Robert Teipel--born April 30, 1909 in Kentucky. He married Margaret Holtman on September 24, 1935 in Covington, KY. Margaret was the daughter of J. Bernard Holtman and Louise "Lucy" Wilenbrink. Robert and Margaret had 4 children. Robert Teipel died January 16, 1964. Margaret Holtman Teipel died September 23, 1995. Both are buried in the Mother of God Cemetery.
