Listed was her husband, 5 minor children, her mother, Margaretha Groene, her sisters, Katherina Ahrens, Elizabeth Weber, and Anna Lange. She also had 2 brothers, Henry and George.
After his wife's death, Bernard Holtman remarried to Mary Yunk on 2/11/1885 in Covington, KY. He had the following children with his 2nd wife:
Bernard Holtman died 12/20/1896 in Covington, KY. He is buried in the Mother of God Cemetery.
After Bernard died, Mary Yunk Holtman remarried to Frank Holtman, Bernard's brother. Frank Holtman's first wife was Angelica Bavendick. Frank and Angelica Holtman had 5 known children together. Frank Holtman died in 1918. Mary Yunk Holtman died3/27/1934. Both are buried in the Mother of God Cemetery.
My direct line then follows John Bernard Holtman, born February 6, 1879. He was the 2nd child of Bernard and Mary Groene Holtman. John Bernard Holtman, who went by his middle name of Bernard, married to Louise "Lucy" Willenbrink on August 12, 1908 at St. Aloysius Church in Covington, KY. Lucy was the youngest daughter of Bernard Willenbrink and Margareth Elizabeth Taubken.
J. Bernard and Lucy Willenbrink Holtman had one child, a daughter, who they named Margaret. St Aloysius Church records name Marguarita Anna Mary Holtman as being born on December 11, 1909 and Baptized on December 12, 1911. Her Godparents are shown as Frank Holtmann and Anna Mueller. The family made their home on West 13th Street in Covington, KY. This home was built by Lucy's father after his arrival from Lohne, Germany. J Bernard Holtman died 2/16/1946. Lucy Willenbrink Holtman died 2/3/1951. Both are buried in the Mother of God Cemetery.
Margaret Holtman, their only child, went on to marry to Robert H. Teipel, the son of Henry E. Teipel and Anna Krull. Robert Teipel had a 6 month trial with the Cleveland Indians Baseball team in 1930. They were married on September 24, 1935. They made their home with Margarets parents on West 13th Street. Robert was a member of the Covington Police Department and became the Superintendent of the Bureau of Identification with this department. Robert and Margaret had four children, 2 girls and 2 boys. Robert Teipel died on January 16, 1964, at the age of 54. Margaret Holtman Teipel died September 23, 1995, at the age of 85. Both are buried in the Mother of God Cemetery.
