As you can see by the images on this page, I am an avid cyclist (road or mountain), snowboarder, and budding SCCA driver. I've been in several amateur mountain biking races and have always finished a race, no matter how tired and sore I get. There is something thrilling about going downhill on a steep and rocky pathway, from the top of a mountain, at a top speed of 60 mph on a bike. There is also something redeeming and exhilarating about finishing a competition that I thought I had no chance of completing, or riding a trail I've done many times before and beating my previous best time, even if only by a few seconds. There's also the thrill of victory, whenever I race with my cycling team at work, and I just happen to outride some of them. And then there's the fact that I just bike to blow off some steam and get away from the everyday stress of life. And believe me, there's stress! I currently work at 2Wire Corporation, which is a start-up, and I often work late into the evenings. Well, I guess that comes with the territory.

I have somewhat gotten Grace into mountain biking and other thrill-seeking adventures, as well. On our honeymoon, we rode on a helicopter and went parasailing. We continually keep in shape by cycling or jogging a few times a week—and watching what we eat. She doesn't let me eat red meat!

Our baby girl, Leah Caitlyn, is growing bigger and faster every day! She's got four healthy baby teeth in, and luckily, she doesn't seem to be in any pain from the teething. Now there's a whole new group of foods that she can have, and she's enjoying herself more and more at mealtime. I'm sure she can't wait to have "grown-up" food.
