Grace Estolano-Abidog

nurse's hat Welcome to my home page! I technically joined the Abidogs as a family member in October 1996, when Ron and I got married. We had been engaged for a year (he proposed on my birthday the year before) but we had been going steady since high school—for nine years.

nurse I graduated from San Jose State University with a Nursing degree in 1994. I recently started a new job and am now working full-time at a clinic in San Jose. I often make house calls to the elderly and other patients who don't always have the means to come into the clinic. Although it's a very tiring and stressful job, it is also very rewarding. I like feeling like I am helping people.

Anyway, I come from a family that is a little bigger than Ron's family of four—and is still growing. I have three older brothers, one older sister, and five nephews and two nieces. I am also very pleased to announce that Ron and I just had our first child this past April 1st—Leah Caitlyn. Take a look at her section in our photo album so that you can watch her grow, too!

I have been researching my family history for some time now, and am interested in finding anyone that may be related to us—the Estolanos. Estolano is Spanish in origin, however, I have not been able to trace back our family tree to any Spanish ancestor. My father is 1/8 Chinese, so it's quite possible that my family is a mix of many different cultures. If you have any information about the Estolano surname, or ideas on how I can further research our family history, please email me and send me your comments. I've been receiving messages from several people regarding my maiden last name. There's someone from Brazil and he's Portuguese—very interesting! I've told my dad about it and he's very impressed about my search on the Estolano family name.

Well, Caitlyn's birthday party was a lot of fun. She enjoyed the clown and guests, and she received many generous and thoughtful presents. See the pictures from her party here.

Caitlyn has been quite active lately. Since she is getting more confident in her walking abilities, we can't ever pick her up now! I wonder how she'll be like when she discovers running!
