Something I Composed
And Would Like To Share...

A Day In School

As we set foot onto the school grounds,
We see smiling and cheerful faces all around,
Lining up time is the moment we dread the most,
For we have to stand in silence twenty minutes almost.

"Silence!" The prefects yell,
But nobody ever listens,
"Ring," goes the electric bell,
We rush up the stairs but still...

Puan Fuziah kills us in broad daylight,
With tons of homework for the night,
Never a day does she forget,
Oh, but why is that?

Mrs. Chong our dearest class teacher,
So patient and ever sweet,
She has a cheerful smile,
Unforgettable that's what it is.

Mr. Ong, Mr. Ong!
My answer for this question is wrong,
12 x 12 is 144,
But my answer is somehow just 44.

Recess, a short 20 minutes break,
Is the time to freak,
We jump about, run about,
What fun it is to move about.

The dear programme in the middle of the day,
Means drop everything and read, they say.

Puan Malisa the most lively teacher,
Is such a good joker,
She never scolds us,
Our best-loved teacher, absolutely.

Mrs. Chua's p. E. Lessons,
Oh. How we love her lively ways,
We do sit-ups, push-ups,
And become fantastic runner-ups.

6.45 is the time we love the most,
"Ring," goes the bell,
And out we dash,
Bound for home, and bliss.

-This composition was used in my class' choral speaking but
unfortunately we only made it to the 2nd place.
