Kentucky.....

Welcome to the Bluegrass State, where the warmth of a southern state and the excitement of big-city life come together. No matter when, or where you visit, you can be sure of receiving some "real" Southern hospitality!! Here you'll find more flowing fresh water than in any other state in the continental United States, with the exception of Alaska. Breathtaking is the lush bluegrass of our famed horse country, and the rugged beauty of the Appalachian Mountains. From the twin spires of Churchill Downs to the majestic oaks in our forestlands, this is a place of beauty and wonder!!

Did you know that....
Frankfort is the state capital.
Kentucky became the 15th state on June 1, 1792.
Kentucky has 120 counties..only Texas and Georgia have more.
Kentucky's population is around 3,700,000.
Kentucky's state motto is "United We Stand, Divided We Fall."
"My Old Kentucky Home", by Stephen Foster, is the Kentucky State Song.
The Goldenrod is the Kentucky State Flower.
The Tulip Tree is the Kentucky State Tree.
The "Kentucky Wildcats" basketball team is the Kentucky "State" basketball team..*s..at least that's my opinion!!

There are so many interesting and wonderful places to visit in South Central Kentucky, which is my "stomping ground". In what is known as "Cave Country", we haveMammoth Cave, which is the longest cave system ever discovered on earth, to Hidden River Cave, Diamond Caverns, Crystal Onyx Cave, and Kentucky Caverns, to name a few!! My son's favorite place is Kentucky Down Under, which will take you on a unique journey through the wonders of Australia. My personal favorite is the Horse Cave Theatre, which is a professional repertory theatre performing plays in rotation.
