There are many different variaties of figs available today, but at in biblical times there were only two variaties that were available and growing in Israel. Figs and trees are used in the Bible as symbols, in many places, as a referance to certain types of Peoples of the Bible. This is done to show both deeds and expectations of them in their encounters.
