Julia Ann Byars Elmore Newsom |
I recently learned from cousin Peggy Cole Moser that Julia is the daughter of J.J. & Elizabeth C. Byars of Pickens County, Alabama. They are found on the 1850 online census here [as BYERS]. |

I descend from their daughter Ida Lucinda Elmore. who married George Washington Brandon in Pickens County, Alabama. |
Julia is buried at Finch Cemetery, near Paragould, Greene County, Arkansas. She has a lovely marble tombstone, but her death date was not cut into the stone. Peggy says she died July 4, 1924. |
