We
had our Annual Jumble Sale at Mahkota
Parade (Fountain Area), Melaka headed by our Chairman, Ms Irene
Seet. . Donations of clothes,cakes, hampers, toys, usable household
utensils, pet food and other saleable items were on sale to raise funds
for the centre. |
Response to the Jumble Sale was not overwhelming, due to
the Mega Sale also on at that time. Total collections amounted to RM
3,500.
SPCA thanks all those who have contributed their
effort and their donations.

Sept - 2nd October 2000 |
During the Hari
Peladang celebrations organised by the Veterinary Dept, Air Keroh,
SPCA was given a small stall to publicise our cause and to intensify our
efforts to eradicate cruelty to animals. |

Leo
Council students of High School Melaka, Convent Holy Infant Jesus
and Malacca Girls Sec. School did a gotong royong at the centre. |

Letters
of appreciation were given to student volunteers who were involved
in the Jumble Sale at Mahkota Parade on 3rd September 2000.The ceremony
was held at the SPCA centre. |

One of our founders and
former Chariman, Mr. John Tan, presented lettering
of SPCA made from dog chains collected from cruelty cases. It took
him 2 years to complete it. |

Our Chairman, Irene Seet,
collected the donation box
which was sent to SPCA Penang by RSPCA, UK. |

of SPCA Seremban led by
Chairman Arumugam Ratnam visited our centre to share knowledge and
experience on the welfare of animals. |
We encourage other SPCAs
from other states to come and interact for better knowledge and to be one
big family.

for the Charity Concert will

Marathon Press Sdn. Bhd and Acute Digital Design. Volunteers are needed and
much welcomed. |
Jumble sale of used clothings,
second hand books and Mags, Face painting, Pay-A-Song Request, karaoke, and
much more. Charity Car Wash also available.

was organised by the Malacca Expatriate School in Batang Tiga
and part of the proceeds were donated to SPCA. |
SPCA also had a stall during the
Food Fete and was glad to contribute to the running of the Fete. |
