Keep up the good work!. I graduated from Columbia High School in 1951, attended East Carolina College, graduated in 1955, and then spent the next 30 years in the USAF. From 1986 until 1996 I was in Nashville Tennessee where I was the Vice President/Operations for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. When you talked at the reunion about the many positive things that Columbia area has and the wildlife, we had no idea that there were really black (?) bears in Gum Neck area. On our side trip to Gum Neck, as we made the right turn, a black(?) bear was on his/her way out of the woods and toward our road! We stopped our van suddenly, looked at him/her, he/she looked at us, then he/she went back into the woods. I got out my camera, but he/she never came back! What an experience! I also like your home page and all the information! It is really great! My sister, Vi, went back to Arizona with lots of fond memories, especially the Brickhouse family reunion!
