Puree a pound of liver with 1 or 2 eggs in a blender.
Pour the resulting appetizing red sludge into a mixing bowl.
Mix with enough flour to make a batter that is a little runnier than a typical cookie batter.
Pour into a greased and floured baking dish or pie pan.
Bake until firm (about 30 minutes at 350 degrees).
Cool, cut into treat sized bits.
Keep refrigerated.
May be divided into convenient portions and frozen.
You can also add garlic, salt, molasses, and/or bone meal, or replace part of the flour with cornmeal.

AVERINA'S LECTABLE LIVER BARS
Submitted by Mickey

Ingredients :
5 lb. raw liver (beef or pork)
4 large oranges
2 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups corn meal
6 Large Poodles (cutters… J)
1/2 cup powdered kelp
2 cups powdered milk
2 cups wheat germ
1/3 cup garlic powder
1/3 powdered brewers yeast
4 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups quick oatmeal
1 cup bran (optional)

Directions
1. Put poodles on a down stay.

2. Mix dry ingredients together in separate container

3. Use Food processor to mince liver into a mush.

4. Wash / scrub oranges as thepeel is included. Quarter oranges, mush in food processor and add to mushed liver.

5. If your food processor is so designed, it will be easiest to mix the dry ingredients into the liver as you go along, adding water as required to ease the mixing.

6. If you can't mix in the dry ingredients as you go along then add dry ingredients to the wet after mincing. Pour mixture into cake pan to a depth of 1 to 1 1/2 inches. (Use glass or plastic for microwave) This will require at 4 or 5 pans.

7. Cook in microwave for 20 to 25 minutes on roast or 8, depending on your power settings, or in conventional oven for 30 minutes at 300 (this is a guess, I only use the microwave). Remove the pan, invert bar and put back into oven for 5 to 10 minutes.

8. Remove Poodles from room.

9. Take bar out of pan and place on rack to cool.

10. Cut into squares 1" by 2" or whatever size you prefer. If you wish a soft consistency to make it easier to tear off for bait and training just bag in ziploc bag and freeze or put in refrigerator for immediate use. If you want crispier or harder bars, put the cut up squares onto rack or back in pan and cook at medium heat until the desired consistency is reached. (15 to 20 minutes. Do not cook to harden before cutting or you will need a power saw or hammer and chisel to break up the bar.

11. Bring poodles back into room for quality control check (1 each). This recipe makes approximately 100 liver squares unless you missed step 8 and did not remove the poodles at the proper time and left poodles and product unattended in the same room. In which case this recipe will make approximately 3 liver bars.
