Marriage at Inverscaddle Bay, was the marriage in the brides home?
More likely it was at the small chapple at Inverscaddle Bay part of Conaglen House, and that Ewen and or Mary work for the Connaglen Estate which emcompased nearly all the west bank of Loch Eil north of Inverscaddle including Trislaig where he was living in 1840.

With Trislaig being almost on the boundry of Kilmallie and Ardgour and Ballachulish just across the Loch it seems posible the family remained in Trislaig although the christenings occured in differnt parishes.

In August 1840
Ewen and his family emigrated to New Zealand with all the children except John on the Blenheim which brought out 197 people under the leadership of Laird Donald McDonald.
This gentleman was a representative of the New Zealand Company and a large landholder in the colony and nearly the whole of the body of emmigrants were composed of his own and neighbouring clans, from near Fort William, Invernessshire.
Source White Wings - Sir Henry Brett

According to her age given when the family emigrated Mary would have been only 17 when they married so was probable still a home, however Ewen's age was thought to be actually 57 rather than the 50 recorded so Mary's age may also have been reduced. but given the aged of her youngest child she was unlikely to be very much older.

Sarah Cameron married on 29 aug 1851 to
Duncan Campbell a Master Mariner from Grandtuly Scotland
their eldest daughter Margret married John Glass from kinross on 14 mar 1871
in the Wesleyan Church Lawrence Otago NZ
