A TESTIMONY
AND OUR BELIEFS

Personally for me, every day the Lord reveals new truth in His Word.
For the more you read and study, the more the questions get answered.

When I became ill and lost my job, it was the best blessing I have ever received. All my christian life, one of my desires, was to study the Word and seek the answers to the mysteries of God. And here I was, losing a nursing career, due to fibromyalgia and not realizing it was a blessing .

At first, I was in the dumper, but then I realized I was going to be able to do what I have always dreamt of. More study, writing and painting. I am really good at the study. Writing and painting I am getting better at, with a lot of help from friends.

Then the most marvelous thing happened when I truly set my eyes wholly on Jesus. For the first time in over 22 years of reading scriptures, I was finally understanding them. Praise the Lord! I found the answers to: Where is the story of Lucifer in the Bible? Why do I say the prayer of repentance, why not some other prayer?

It has been since Oct. of 93' and I am no different than any of you. Maybe one difference is that I will drop everything and everyone to do the Will of My Lord. Sometimes this is not fun, but I have such a joyful heart, for every cell of my body knows that Jesus is alive and His Word is true.

Finally, I put His Word to the test, or actually I put my belief of His Word to the test. My knee had been swollen for three years and it was a real bummer, the pain was intense all the time. I would have it drained and it would just fill back up. One Sunday morning I said, "Lord I believe You can heal my knee, and I am going to go up to the altar, every Sunday till You do."

Let me explain, where I go to church it is very rare that someone would go to the altar. That has changed recently. Praise the Lord! Anyway, I went forward and felt rather stupid at first, and then I said "No I will not be embarrassed for my faith, nor will I let the enemy rob me of healing again."

I went forward to the altar for three Sundays, kneeling on a hard wooden altar. The third Sunday, I stood up to leave and the power of the Holy Spirit fell on me and my knee was healed, right there in front of the whole church. I had hobbled up there and almost ran back. I kept bending it and standing on it and finally I just started praising the Lord.

When you read "Afflicted By God", "A Window to the Heart," you will understand it better knowing of my healing. Next time I decide to put my faith to the test, I will be more careful of how I ask. Remember I only asked for my knee to be healed, and not the disease. I sometimes wonder how much faith do I really have? For today I have enough, and I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for this gift.

UPDATE

Not many months after I wrote this paper I was completely healed of fibromyalgia. The Lord has blessed my life so much. I honestly can not tell you why He would chose me to do what He has led me into. But I can tell you this. I share the testimonies that He gives to me with everyone I meet. I praise His name continually and thank Him with every breath. He is my Lord, He is my God, He is my healer and now He is my teacher to go out and help others. The blessings keep coming and so do the lost to find Jesus.
Praise His name, the name of Jesus Christ.

Always remember this:
It is the Word of God that does the Work
It is the testimony of Jesus that does the work
It is the Holy Spirit moving that does the work.

We are just the instrument to either;
Carry the Word
Speak the Word
or take the Holy Spirit
where He would want to go
Remember He indwells us
and He needs us to OBEY in order to release His power.
What a responsibility He has given to us.

ALL THINGS UNDER THE SUN AND IN THE EARTH AND ABOVE THE EARTH ARE FOUND IN THE BIBLE, THERE IS NOTHING NEW TO GOD.

Romans 10:9-13(NAS) "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture say, "Whoever Believes in Him will not be diappointed." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him; for whoever will call upon the Name of the Lord will be saved."
