 A native New Yorker raised in Philadelphia, PA, Margo L. Young-Wiggins received the bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and the masters degree in Human Services from Lincoln University, PA. As a former psychiatric social worker and drug abuse therapist, she spent thirteen years in college administration as a director of financial aid/admissions at various colleges and universities.
Her career path changed when she made her husband Bill a necktie for Valentine's Day in 1990, and began to receive orders from colleagues and friends. In 1991, she launched her mail order business by introducing the internationally recognized Nefertiti Doll™, which has appeared in ESSENCE and DOLL magazines. Creations by Margo-Lynn, Inc. was one of the early pioneers in African-American doll creations at a time when there were not many beautiful dolls of African-American ethnicity. Young-Wiggins moved to Hampton, VA in 1993 where she resides with her husband (V.P/Business Manager) and twin daughters. In 1997, she opened her retail shop and continued to serve international and domestic retail stores by mail order. At Creations by Margo-Lynn you will find the largest selection of sorority and fraternity items in Hampton Roads, a variety of porcelain dolls, African clothing, greeting cards, novelties, custom t-shirts, religious and Negro Baseball League items, college and universities items and full scale embroidery services for groups, organizations and individuals.
