Try not to wash your windows on a sunny day, this will make them dry too fast and result in streaking. |
| Make your own window and applicance cleaner by adding two tbsp. of vinegar, two or three drops of liquid dish detergent and blue food colouring to two quarts of water. |

Windowsills are easy to clean if you give them a coat of wax. Wax protects the paint and dirt wipes off in a jiffy. |
| To clean mirrors, mix two parts water to eight parts rubbing alcohol. There is no streaking, it evaporates quickly and it's inexpensive. |
