I am Dan

I enjoy making musical instruments, but I eke out an existence by
practicing forensic psychology with a specialty in disquieted adolescents and young adults.

I am a firm believer that people are most satisfied while at play.

People are happy only to the extent that they play in their everyday work.

Freidrich Neitzsche placed a few gems into the mud of his thoughts that pertain to this.

They include:

"I would have no god who would not dance."

"Consider lost any day during which you do not dance at least once."

Freid also said:  "Without music, life would be a mistake."

I'm inclined to believe these ideas.

As to woodworking, I have and will build anything from harps to furniture.  Of special interest to me is making musical instruments out of
family heirlooms.  For example, a 200 year old cherry table warped to a pretzel contour can make a terrific harp and will last forever
considering the extreme aging of the wood... in fact, the wood is like crystaline styrofoam.
My family table at which I consumed my childhood meals is one such harp.
