My site is devoted to a dying art - the art of sewing. I do not sew clothes or home furnishings - I bring cartoon characters that I see on television to life in the form of fabric and stuffing. With each doll that I will display on this site, I will also include some detail on how I made each doll.
It is unfortunate that this art is dying, and I am hoping that my site will inspire someone to pick up this very useful skill.
The dolls that I have made so far come from two television shows - and both appeal to girls of all ages. Those shows are Sailor Moon and The Powerpuff Girls (please see my disclaimer.) Pretty soon, I hope to add others, but those seem to be pretty popular right now. I have been concentrating on the Sailor Moon dolls lately, just because they are so varied, and some of their hairdos offer quite a challenge.
I also offer some Sailor Moon products online, in association with Amazon.com. Amazon is a teriffic place to get books, cds and movies, and always at a discount.
Note: Many of you may be wondering why nothing really new has come on my site lately, or why I am not offering anything on e-bay. This is because I have just become very busy. I took up a karate class in May, and in July, I have signed up for an on-line doll making class. This class will help me to become a better doll maker - I will be able to offer dolls with more of a shaped face and neck, and they will have more feminine shapes. They will have individual, posable fingers. If you also want to learn how to make dolls, you can sign up for a course at the crafty college.
