Tips:

Keep all your empty Pringles cartons for the coasters, jewellery and castle making projects.

Playdough Recipe:
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
MIX these together in a large pan. ADD:
2 cups water
3 tablespoons oil
colouring
MIX well and cook over low heat for
a few minutes until a dough forms.
Knead until cool.
STORE in cool place.

For making models to keep:
Saltdough Recipe:

3 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 tablespoon oil
approx 1 cup water
MIX all these together in a large bowl.
Knead the dough well on a floured surface.
Keep in fridge until required.
Make models and bake in the centre of the oven gas mark 4, 350 degF, 180degC.
Small items take 10 to 20 minutes, large items are best cooked overnight at a very low temperature.
Saltdough can be coloured when made, glazed with beaten egg before baking, or painted after cooling.
