Born: 6-7-75 Hampton, Va High School: Bethel (Hampton,Va) College: Georgetown Height: 6'0" Weight: 165 lbs. Drafted: #1 pick 1996 NBA Draft, 76ers Position: Guard Iverson has been having a good season averaging just over 22 points a game. In his recent games Iverson had his career high with 37 points!! The next night he had 31 and he has been going strong since. The Sixers in general have been struggling. They won one in overtime against Boston for their ninth win to brake a 13 game losing streak. A couple days after that they beat the Raptors for their tenth game so maybe they are back on track. Iverson and Marburry are going head to head for the rookie of the year. They both are having strong seasons. Iverson is averaging more points but Marburry has more assists because he had got Garnett to pass to. It will be a strong battle all year long. The Sixers have been getting back on track winning 4 of their last 7 and 2 in a row. Their record is now 12-34 heading in to the All-Star weekend. Iverson started for the East and came out passing. He had 8 assists in the first 15 minute half. At the end of the game he had 19 points, 9 assists, and 3 rejections and won MVP!!
