The Carbon Raiders have enjoyed a great season with a 27-3 win/loss record. They have played many of their games against 2A-4A schools in competitive tournaments, having won two, placing second in one and third in two others. They have taken home the divisional league and zone titles for the second consecutive year and are looking forward to a great competition at the provincial level.
School and Town Profile
Carbon School is a K-12 school of 220 students situated in Carbon the "Village in the Valley". This unique village, with well paved streets, is approximately 40 km east of Drumheller and 33 km south of Three Hills. Carbon has received honorable mention for Best Naturalized Paths from the Communities in Bloom National Competition for its outstanding red shale walking paths which wind around the village through beautiful natural areas of the picturesque Kneehill Creek that are great for bird watching. You can enjoy a relaxing stay at the fully-serviced campgrounds, featuring free firewood and free showers, as well as an RV dump station. Hold your family reunion here, groups are welcome! You can also enjoy a dip in the outdoor swimming pool during public and family swims.
