What Gives?
We're going on an indefinite hiatus here at the SJS College Football Extravaganza. After 7 years on the web (and 7 years of rather poor prognostication success!) the old Webmaestro is looking to take a break. Unfortunately, the page has been more work than a hobby over the past 3 or 4 years, and it has been hard to recreate the excitement of that first year doing the page from Baltimore.
Not that it hasn't had its moments. I enjoyed getting the mailing list going, and then the forums, but each of those freebies eventually went off line and were under-used in any event. I've really enjoyed keeping in touch with everyone through the page, and that's the hardest part about stepping away this season.
I hope all of us will continue to keep in touch. If there's a ground swell of interest, the page could make a comeback in 2005. Like Deion Sanders, and MJ, and Super Mario, I'll never say never. But for now, I'm taking my first retirement.
