1/5/2000, Well, I have nothing to say but Elena will be OK at next time.... Let's support her.. She was 3rd Place for Skate America and Cup of Russia, then this was too bad. She was 6th for Russian National Championship. I think she was little nervous.

April 1st 1999, Great!! I want to tell you this great news anyway!! So please read this very carefully. Remember don't skip it!! Please read until end of this article.

Believe or not, I just met Elena herself at New York City by chance today. Actually I have been working as an airline pilot in Japan, and I had a flight for N.Y. on the day before. OK, OK, after I had reached there, I had a vacation for two days. so I was walking down the street. and THERE SHE WAS. And I asked her if she was her. "Are you Elena Sokolova?" and she said "Yes, I am". so I was going like "Wow, I just can't believe this". I said once again "Are you sure you are really Elena Sokolova?". "Well what do you think?" she said and smiled as she alway does. You know the beautiful smile, right? Therefore, I realized that she must be Elena Sokolova herself. "What are you doing here????" I asked and she answered, "well,,, I am on a little vacation. so...". Then I told her that I am builting a Homepage which is dedicated to you because I am a big fan of you. She, however, has already knew it and said, "So you are the one who did it, I have seen it before. I really like it!! Thank you!!".
It was a wonderful day for me, She also sighed her autograph for me which you can find at the top of the page!! and we even went to a restaurant to have a wonderful dinner. Could you guess what we had for the dinner? It is absolutely Russian food. Well,,, I was very very happy to see her on the day at New York and I will never forget about it. Thank you!!!

March 20th 1999, Okay, It is actually pouring here in Japan today, but I would like to update something. Elena had finished her game at ISU Grand Prix Final, As I told you, I am going to find some new pics and show you on this page, and I did find some pictures at Nations Cup and Grand Prix, St. Petersburg. Therefore, I asked them if I can show you people the pictures on my Webpages. They, however, somehow refused for me to use them on my page. So What only I can do for you is to tell you people the URL where you can find the pictures of Elena which I have found so far. OK that is no problem. 3/9/1999, I am so sorry not to update very often. but I have a news today.
We had the game ISU Grand Prix Final March 4-7, 1999, right? Elena Sokolova was 4th. 4th is not bad!! So I should say Congratulations!! The Gold was Tatyana MALININA, the silver was Maria BUTYRSKAYA, and the next was Irina SLUTSKAYA.. then 4th we have the idol, Elena SOKOLOVA, she did well, then 5th Elena LIASHENKO, 6th Fumie SUGURI.
Okay, One of my friend told me something about Irina SLUTSKAYA, He met her in Japan when it is NHK trophy. and I also saw her on TV. and the guy asked Irina if she considers Elena as her rival. Irina said Elena Sokolova is one of the greatest skaters in Russia. She does think Elena is her rival. This means Elena must be the strong skater in Russia. and We should be proud of it. That is all I want to say for today. Good luck!!

Jan/15/99 Elena Sokolova has done great job at Russian National Championships this time. But it is very diffcult to win at Russia. So she finished 5th. But Don't worry!! She will win next. The next competition will be "World Universiade". and one point...... YOU MUST CHEER FOR ELENA!! Please do so!!!!

Dec/2/98, I am sorry, I am late to update. Yes, great!!! Elena won again. It looks like No one can stop her winning because she is so excellent skater as you can see. and the next competetion will be Russian National Championships in Moscow. She will make it too.

Nov/26/98, Hi, I remember that I told you people there is no way to have information about Elena here in Japan. But I found that I was very wrong yesterday.(sorry...) There was a way to have info about Elena Sokolova here in Japan. Although those are kind of old, they are going to have some broadcasting programs, like Skate America, Nation Cup and so on in this coming December. Now, I have a problem to view the Broadcasting TV programs. But I do try to find the way to record them so that I can convert them to Jpeg files for you to have a good time spending your coffee time with Elena. So please wait,, I will try to have a new Photo Page very soon. Don't worry,, Elena is doing great in Russia. She is really great after she had a new trainer. I think she will win again in Russia. and I am now prepareing the mirror page in Japanese, so,,, please wait one more week. I am studying Japanese now............... very difficult for me......

Nov/20/98, I am very proud of Elena because she is doing so fine. I am so happy being her fan, thank you!! Moreover, She has been winning not only the wonderful medals but also lots of fans. I think that is very good. Many people in Japan have send me e_mails, and I found that they want me to have a mirror page for this one in Japanese. I actually tried to do that once before, but I did not have enough time to do it. Sorry..... But still I will do it, so wait little more(for fans in Japan). But I just want to tell Elena that you have so many fans in Japan. So please come here for them to skate and show them your excellent skating skills so that they will know that no one can beat you up!!
