Who's Grob?

This is a brief account of who I am and what I've been up to these last 30 years, to whom it may concern.

My full name is Luís Miguel Ganhão Fragoso Faísco; I'm a 30 year caucasian male with brown eyes and hair, about 6' tall and weighing something like 170 lb.

I was born February 17, 1970, in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Both my parents were born in the mid-40's on the south region of Portugal, in the Alentejo province. But when they got married, in September 1968, they moved to the Lisbon region, in the hope of getting a better life. My kid brother, Manuel, is an excellent bodyboarder.

Last September I married my long time girlfriend, named São. We've been together for more than 10 years now and, if all goes well, we'll be together many more.

I'm currently taking a degree in Physics at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.

I have a number of hobbies: stamp collecting, fish keeping, spearfishing, going to the movies, travelling, WWW surfing, computing, etc.
I've been to South Africa (Johannesburg), the US (NYC), Switzerland (Zurich), Spain (Seville and Costa del Sol and Ceuta), France (Paris, twice), Italy (Rome) and to Madeira and Azores archipelagoes.
I also used to skateboard and to surf but I don't do it anymore, mainly because over the last few years my eyesight has deteriorated.

I'm planning on taking a scuba diving course and sailing lessons in the near future.

One of my main interests is meeting with travellers and exchanging experiences. So, if you ever decide to come to Lisbon and would like to meet a local, don't hesitate to call.

I almost forgot, Grob is a nickname I've been using for some time now. It is related to another one of my interests: Hewlett Packard's HP 48 scientific calculator series. Grob is an acronym for GRaphical OBject, one of the many types of objects used by these calculators.
