WRAMTAS Presidency
Karen Fernandez is a senior at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. This is her second year serving on the WRAMTAS board and as our regions student representative to the Student Affairs Advisory Board. Her main instrument is the flute which she has played for 12 years. Last year she served as president for PMTA (Pacific Music Therapy Association) as well as on the local committee for the conference held in San Jose, CA. Her junior year practicum experience included working with students in special education and at Walton Developmental Center working with students with Down Syndrome. She currently works as a Psychiatric Rehab Therapist Assistant at San Joaquin County Mental Health. She hopes to do her internship with a psychiatric or geriatric population.
