The Students' Council is a formally elected body, recognised by the College Administration and supported by the students to facilitate decisions made pertaining to the general welfare and needs of the student body.

Students are expected to acknowledge the Council's standing, its rulings and to recognize it as the only student organisation which can represent the entire student body to the College Administration. The Students' Council is not another extra-curricular activity; it is the student representation with the highest standing, subject to the authority of the Principal. Students who have held leadership roles and students who are interested in serving their peers are greatly encouraged to offer themselves for the election. The highest office a student can hold in the College is that of a student councillor.

Objectives

The objectives of the Students' Council are:

  • To lead in inculcating self-discipline and service of the College.

  • To generate a College spirit for the enhancement of a common identity.

  • To act as a link between the College Administration and the student body.

  • To attend to the general welfare of the students.
