Bangkok Technical Campus was established originally as a Vocational Education Institute, under supervision of Vocational Education Department, by the name of Technical Institute.Established by the Government under Prime Minister Field Marshal P. Pibulsongkran , on 14th July 1952 , with objectives on improvement of Vocational Education Standard , to provide an opportunity for Thai youths to study and train in various branches of Technical knowledges in wider scope. With support and good cooperation from USAID Mission. The name Technical institute was changed to Bangkok Technical Institute after the establishment of the institute in 1956 Later in 1977 changed to Bangkok Technical Campus,under the Technology and Vocational College of the Ministry of Education,according to Technology and Vocational College Act of B.E. 2518. Until 15th September 1988, His Majesty the King has granted his Royal Command to give the name for technology and Vocational College to be " Technology Rajamangala Institute " , therefore, the full name of Bangkok Technical Campus changed to be : " Rajamangala Institute of Technology Bangkok Technical Campus "
