Fall 2003: Uncle Dom and Cristie's Wedding, NYC

Uncle Dom married Cristie in New Jersey this November. We went and made a family vacation of our time in the northeast.

The rehearsal.
1st pew: rehearsal
Alexander was the ring bearer and most of Dom's brothers were groomsmen. After Alexander finished his part, he went to the back to play cars with great grandpa Dobson.

Alexander before and during the wedding ceremony. As you can see to the right and again below, Alexander can't seem to stay awake for long set-pieces. Ring bearer rests

Marine sword swat A traditional part of a Marine/Navy dress wedding is the tunnel of swords. After the newly married couple exits the tunnel, the final man swats the bride with the face of the sword. Dom's elder brother and Marine Joe got to swat Cristie as Dom suppresses a smile.

The already large Dobson family expands yet again with the addition of Cristie.

Nicholas the dance hazard The boys had a blast at the reception. Nicholas was a dance hazard for much of the night when he wasn't charming people at the tables. Alexander enjoyed the decadence of a party hat, flower garlands, glow necklaces, and lots of food. Nicholas having fun

Beauty and the Beast We saw Disney's Beauty and the Beast off Broadway. Nicholas was entertained enough to be subdued, but Alexander didn't make it to intermission before dozing off, here next to cousin Elizabeth. Alexander and Elizabeth

Ground Zero, NYC We spent one full day in New York, walking to Ground Zero, Battery Park, Chinatown, Little Italy, and Times Square. Trinity Church
