Why Sipil ITB?
Well, fisrt of all, congratulations!. Welcome, freshmen of Civil Engineering Dept. It is understandable that on every morning when you wake up there is always one single thought in your mind ... pride. Proud to be a student of ITB, the best school in the country.
You deserve to have that in your mind but it should not lead you to go astray. To be admitted however is not the end of your journey on the contrary it is the beginning. Your pride should be followed by strong and optimistic movement to finish up your school a.s.a.p.
Remember that it is not the government who pays big portion of your tuition but the people of Indonesia. Keep in your mind that not only healthy people pay their tax. Poor people do the same thing. Keep in your mind that farmers, becak drivers, fishermen, bakso sellers, and all kind of sellers in Cikapundung traditional market and all of other traditional markets thru out the country set aside some money TO PAY YOU sitting in this school. Each of them might only set aside Rp 100 or less. It seems unvaluable for you but it is a big sacrifice for them. Think about that in every morning when you go to GKU for morning class. Always being bonded with people is one thing that distinguish you from High School student. For you guys who failed ... don't get discouraged. ITB is the best school, but you don't have to be in the best school to be the best. You can be the best whereever you want.Here's the Top Ten List why you should enter Sipil ITB.
