Projects

Js&Vs Goal:
As a service club, our main goal is to find a variety of projects that will- at the same time- appeal to our members as well as help the community in the best way possible. Being an interact club, we take pride in the fact that we commit ourselves to various projects. In our club, we take pride in the fact that we commit ourselves to various projects in our school community and the world.

School:
At North High School, Julians and Valiants, over the past 40 years, has established a tradition of helping the school in most -if not all- of it's major events and activities. We provide service in events such as student registration, back-to-school night, various dances, luncheons and graduation programs. We also provide assistance to the school library during the summer.

Community:
Julians and Valiants provides service to various parts of the South Bay Community. We entertain the senior citizens at local centers. Our members also provide assistance at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. We help the Salvation Army and other related centers at various events. We are currently in the process of establishing a tradition of attending the Madrona Marsh Clean- Up every alternate Saturday. We are also expanding our reach within the community by actively seeking new and original ways to serve.

International:
This past year, Julians and Valiants held a massive book drive in the school. Then, with the assistance of Del Amo Rotary, we sent the books to Africa. Our participation in the African Book Drive was one of the major highlights of the 1996-1997 school year. To follow in the precedence of such an accomplishment, we have undertaken another international project. We are going to adopt a child in need. In this project, the member will upon the various details of the project; for example, they will be allowed to pick the gender and the location of the child.
