ACTIONS:
Role has been active in the scene for quite some time so it is time for some history lession. The following story has been written by CMR so if you have any comments or corrects report them to him.

It all started in April 1989, ROLE was born. I, CMR and Knightrider build role. In that time I was called TBG. To build the group role was my
idea, but the name ROLE was found by Knightrider and me.

In the beginning the group was very little and all members were living in belgium. ROLE is the short name for Raiders Of
the Lost Empire. The first members were: TBG, KNIGHTRIDER, JGS, TCB, ICEMAN, SLIMER and TLF.

They could be called the first generation. ICEMAN and TLF left ROLE. The second generation ROLE were new members
like: FEEZY, SHOT808, TPW, MTS and CLOUSEAU.

Then ROLE became international during 1989(end)-1990(start), because 8 members from australia a member from germany
and a member from holland joined, a few more belgians also joined ROLE.

In the beginning of 1990, ALF of ROLE started coding a diskmag for ROLE which was going to be released as ROCK 'N
ROLE.

In may 1990 ROLE released a demo called "LOOK AT ME". The demo-parts were coded by serveral guys of ROLE. In the
mean time SHOT808 of ROLE changed his name into DASH.

In june 1990 WITTY of ROLE (Austalia) had made a lot of mistakes by giving wrong information which was fataly for a lot of
other australian members, because the desicion was already taken by ROLE HQ on advice of WITTY to kick some
australian members who were talking shit about ROLE. After a while WITTY wrote back that all was a mistake and the
kicked members weren't bad at all. But it was to late already, They were kicked and I had decided so. The whole scene
knew about the guys who were kicked. WITTY made a disaster together with his ripped graphics (in that time, not now). The
kicked austalian guys were: GRUMP, STALKER, ANNIHILATOR, TERMINATOR-X and DOCTOR. only a few australian
members stayed because they had only contact with the ROLE HQ in Belgium and not with WITTY. These very big and fatal
mistakes (for innocent guys) from WITTY brought me to decide to kick WITTY out of ROLE in september 1990. This is
history, so don't blame WITTY now for mistakes in the past, WITTY always said that he wasn't kicked out of ROLE, but he
left ROLE. The real truth is that I kicked him because of the mistakes I've told you now. I think every leader of a group would
react like me with such a big mistake. But let the past about that rest in peace. Everybody learns from the past, isn't it?

Also in june 1990 I changed my name into COMMANDOR (CMR) and JGS of ROLE left the scene.

In July 1990 NOMAD(Austalia)/TGK joined ROLE. SID left to join WOW. JYSE/TBB and SAVAGE/IONIX joined ROLE. The
kicked australian-members formed a group called PURE.

On July 1990, the ROLE-MEMBERSTATUS looked like this: CMR, KNIGHTRIDER, ALF(ex-ACIDCREW),
APOLLO(ex-LEDGEND), DASH(ex-COS), RADION(ex-ATRIX), SCORPIO, FEEZY(ex-FRONT64), MTS(ex-THE
LIGHTSHIP), ICEMAN(ex-PCG), TCB, SLIMER(ex-LOM), SAE & C, VULGARIK(ex-ACIDCREW),
TPW(ex-TIMELORDS), PCNOS, GOLDMAN, MOS, SAVAGE(ex-IONIX), THE EXECUTER(also in X-OUT),
JYSE(ex-TBB), ZAP(ex-ACIDCREW) , NOMAD(ex-TGK), BUDHIST BROTHER(ex-KCT), WITTY(ex-KCT kicked in
sept '90), THE QUACKER(ex-KCT) and THE TECH.

In august 1990, EXECUTER left ROLE to join HOLOCAUST. Two Belgium members joined F4CG under another name,
because nobody would know that some members of ROLE(according to F4CG, ROLE was a shame for the elite) joined
F4CG. The ROLE-MEMBERS in that month were: CMR, FEEZY, KNIGHTRIDER, MTS, ALF, ZAP, ICEMAN, APOLLO,
TCB, DASH, SLIMER, MOS, RADION, SAE & C, SCORPIO , VULGARIK, TPW, GOLDMAN, WITTY, DRUID(Australia),
BUDHIST BROTHER, NOMAD, QUAUCKER, THE TECH, SAVAGE and JYSE.

September 1990 was a bad time for FEEZY. ROLE kicked out FEEZY because he ripped demo-parts and other codings.
ROLE couldn't have something like that. ICEMAN and SLIMER left the scene. SLAMMER, YANKEE S, SLASH and JOE
joined ROLE. RADION left the c64 for the amiga.

In november 1990, SAVAGE left role. GAZZA/TAT joined ROLE, but also stayed in TAT. NOMAD and THE TECH, both from
Australia left ROLE. NOMA joined OXYGEN. JOE changed his handle to KAMIKAZE JOE.

At the end of 1990, BADBREATH and UNCLE-X(both ex-UTC), SKYSURFER(ex-TCD), MENDRAKE(ex-RAIDERS), THE
UNHOLY(ex-DEMONIX) and LOTUS joined ROLE, GOLDMAN left the scene.

In the beginning of 1991 our diskmag ROCK 'N ROLE got a new outfit which was surprising a lot of guys. SLAMMER left
ROLE to joined TURTELS(strange!...). KNIGHTRIDER left ROLE because of short time. The cops visited MTS, but nothing
happened. He was already warned in time. The papermag HEADLINE NEWS which was done by CMR during the last
months of 1990, had been takenover by WAR of ROLE. DASH left ROLE to join F4CG (he later rejoined ROLE).

On january 19th 1991 , the members of ROLE were: CMR, SLASH, MTS, SAE & C, WAR, VULGARIK, ALF, SCORPIO,
MOS, MENDRAKE, KAMIKAZE JOE, GAZZA, DROOPY, QUACKER, BUDHIST BROTHER, DRUID, YANKEE
SUPREEME, THE UNHOLY, TOCO, JYSE, ZAP, BADBREATH, UNCLE-X and BOA

In february 1991, we could use pictures in our diskmag ROCK 'N ROLE. UNCLE-X left ROLE to join CENTAURI. YANKEE
S. and DROOPY also left. BUDGIE and BLACK HAWK joined. BLACK HAWK changed his handle to BALD EAGLE.

In march 1991, GAMBLER(ex-GSC), SCORELORD, PUBIC ENEMY(ex-UA) and AXE(ex-DUEL) joined ROLE. SCORPIO
and LOTUS left the scene. In the mean while the group PURE, by the kicked ROLE members, died. TPW left in april 1991.
DARK ANGLEL/EMF joined. DRUID joined CREATION and SAE & C left ROLE. TOY joined. MEGA MADNESS by
MENDRAKE became ROLE second diskmag.

May 1991, was a busy period for ROLE, These guys left: MOS, APOLLO, KAMAKIZE JOE, BUDHIST BROTHER, PUBLIC
ENEMY(joined NOICE) and MENDRAKE. Because MENDRAKE left the diskmag MEGA MADNESS also left because
MENDRAKE was the main editor.

In july 1991, our diskmag ROCK 'N ROLE issue #15 finally had the first digitized pictures. QUACKER left the scene because
he was caught by the australian police on taping the phone from his neighbours. ALso SCORELORD and THE UNHOLY left
the scene. PHOBIA joined ROLE, then ROLE made a big jump when ICE-T joined. He was a very good talented coder. He
made a lot of new routines. GAZZA left ROLE and TAT for the legendary HOTLINE, which died in the same year.
MENDRAKE(ex-ROLE) build ACRISE, so the diskmag MEGA MADNESS would be released under the ACRISE-label. WAR
changed his handle to LUKE SKYWALKER.

August 1991, DR. NASH/PROXYON joined. He has the look of jezus christ. He changed his handle into GUZZLER.
YAZOO/GLOOM joined and changed his handle to RAWHEAD. The memberstatus on august 6th 1991 looked like: CMR,
MTS, ALF, TCB, VULGARIK, SLASH, LUKE SKYWALKER, SCORPIO, ICE-T, ZAP, JYSE, BOA, TOCO, GAMBLER,
IDENTIC, FORELOCK, PHOBIA, GUZZLER, BLAD EAGLE, BOZ, MICHAEL, CHRIS and RAWHEAD.

In september 1991, SLASH joined WOW. MICHAEL and CHRIS joined MIRAGE. BALD EAGLE also left, MUMM-RA and
DEMON joined. LUKE SKYWALKER changed his handle back to WAR. ROLE (re)-opened the Amiga-Section.

In november 1991, RAWHEAD left and changed his handle back to YAZOO and rebuild his old group GLOOM. In that time I
began to get into serious money-problems.

In the beginning of 1992, I got into real money-problems. Our diskmag ROCK 'N ROLE issue #18 would be the last issue for
a long time because of big inactivity of me and ROLE. During the difficult period of 1992, WOW asked me to organise their
group, because they had organising-problems. I agreed and helped WOW for a while.

When 1993 started, ROLE became little by little active again.

And in 1994 ROLE released cracks and demo's again (like ROT 'N ROLE).

In the beginning of 1995, SIMPLE joined ROLE as a SWAPPER. Also DOJO and BEATY joined ROLE.

In the middle of 1995, some polish and german guys joined. Those were: SNIPER, TEX, SWAYZE and HEAVY01.

In july 1995, we released again our diskmag ROCK 'N ROLE issue #19 again. After a delay of a few years. SOREX/WOW
joined, but also stayed a member of WOW. DENNIS became a father of a son. TRAPAUDAX joined together with his board
"CRY IN AGONY". ANGELDUST joined as a swapper and gfx. VIP left because of school, but he rejoined later. The scene
was too importent for him. DASH went to the amiga and changed his handle to "G". Also 2 australian members joined role
DREAM and GAXAR. ICE-T changed his handle into DRAKKANOR.

At the end of 1995, SIMPLE left and joined FAIRLIGHT. SMOKEY, a dutch coder joined.

In the beginning of 1996, the brother of HEAVY01 joined, he is MR. DEATH.

In february 1996, ROLE started the diskmag "CHANNEL 1".

In april 1996, DRAKKANOR changed his handle to THE CHRONIC.

In the beginning of may 1996, NANCY joined, She is the first female member of ROLE and she is the girlfriend of CMR.

At the end of may 1996, SIMPLE rejoined as a coder and swapper.

In june 1996, SMOKEY left and at the end of june SOREBALL/ARCOSS joined as a coder. MARCELLO/TDR/VIRUS left
both groups and joined ROLE. He also changed his handle to LOWLIFE. He is a editor, swapper, internet-homepage
maintainer. Also CARNAGE/U-TURN joined as a cracker and swapper. ROLE also released a demo called DREAMLAND.

Late august 1996, ROLE kicked out ANGELDUST.

In the beginning of september 1996, H-BLOXX/ACRISE+EXCESSS joined the amiga-section as a swapper. Around the
same time 2GE left the amiga-section. In the middle of september, DYNATONIC joined as graphicain ad BUGJAM joined as
swapper and graphician.

September 25th 1996, CMR started talking and planning a copy-party with ACRISE+EXCESS,
REDROCK/ACRISE+EXCESS will talk with other members of ACRISE+EXCESS. A day later PROMETHEUS joined as a
coder and designer and another day later, 27th of september 1996, CMR and NANCY married.

In the beginning og october 1996, UNLOCK/ALBION (who was asked to join,but refused) became the official spreader of
ROLE-WARES, without joining. He is swapper from Switzerland. Also ROLE brought out 2 first releases (cracks), it had
been a long time since ROLE had a first-release! MATT SHAW (ex-U-TURN) ,a dutch graphician and swapper joined.

On october 25th 1996, ROLE and WOW officially started the cracking CO-OP. Remeber the co-op is only for cracks not for
demo's.

In november 1996, an english coder called FRANKIE joined, This is thanks to SIMPLE who found him on the internet.

In december 1996, SIMPLE found another meber through the internet. He is from the USA and he is a NTSC-fixer. He is
called RINGLEADER. In the mean time SURFER (DREAM changed his handle to SURFER) was scrathed of the memberlist
because of no contact between HQ and him. On 18th december DOJO changed his handle to AVENGER. In the mean time
MATT SHAW left because he tought (saying by his brother CRUSHER) that he didn't belong in ROLE. We call this a very
bad excuse. Time will tell why he didn't tell us the real reason!

On the 26th of december, some ROLE-members went to the party VI in Denmark, where the 21th issue of ROCK 'N ROLE
was released and copied about 200 times. On the party I met SPINBALL/EXCESS (the coop EXCESS and ACRISE had
been split up for a month) and talked about a copy-party in Emsdetten(Germany) with our two groups, ROLE and EXCESS.

In the beginning of 1997, NANCY changed her handle to ICEGIRL. A guy from Spain called ALMIGHTY GOD joined as a
second group. He is a swapper and graphician. 2 polish guys joined called LEO and NOSTRADAMUS joined ROLE as third
group.

On february 13th, I got a letter from SWAYZE in which he wrote that all GOLDEN TRIO joined ROLE,both on c64 as amiga.
These new polish members joined: PICIU, ZAL, DEE JAY, MS. SECRET, ZABER and RACE. ROLE has a group of 12
polish members. Around the same time ROLE released a sample-collection with samples from SWAYZE and graphics from
VIP and BUGJAM. The coding was done by SIMPLE. On fevruary 14th, I called FREEZE/DARK CRYSTAL and we decided
to be sure of planning a party with our both groups (ROLE and DARK CRYSTAL) in Holland.
