Went to Las Vegas with a good friend over the weekend. Stayed at the Bellagio and spent lots of time eating and gambling (craps, roulette, black jack, caribbean stud and some funky game called Sic Bo). Also saw the show "O" by Cirque de Soleil, which was totally awesome. It was like Tim Burton meets the circus underwater. If anything, I recommend going to Vegas just to see O. It is TOTALLY worth it.

Took a short trip to Florida with my 3 best girl friends. We spent one day in Orlando doing the Disney thing at Magic Kingdom and the rest of the time sitting on the beaches of Miami. Personally, I would have wanted to spend another day in Orlando going to MGM Studios b/c apparently Magic Kingdom is not bigger and better than L.A's Disneyland (contrary to what the taxi driver said). Anyhow, MGM not only has the Star Wars Star Tours ride, BUT they also have the Indiana Jones ride (that's where it was!) and Mickey's tower of terror (a free fall ride). Not that I didn't think MK was boring or anything. Its not about the place, its about the company right?
South Beach was a different story. Besides the racial comments (konichiwa, ching chong!) from random guys driving by, the pick up comments from guys on the street, smelly sewers, bad hotel service, ghetto clubs, and almost passing out on the beach, South Beach had pretty good food. I guess we got lucky and picked the right restaurants! Like ct said, its just like L.A. but hotter (plus beaches like SD, but not quite as good).
