Frequently Asked Questions
1. When is the comic book coming
out?
Well, we
had originally planned to have it ready by the end of 1998, but
unforeseen
circumstances have pushed things back to the end of 1999. We
seem to be
getting back on schedule, finally.
2. Don't the girls get cold in those
costumes they're almost wearing?
No. All of
the girls in the BodsquadTM (and
other super-powered characters
in their
universe) have a resistance to normal extremes of temperature. They
could tolerate
temperatures ranging from Arctic to the Mojave Desert with no
problems;
liquid hydrogen or molten metal, however, would be a big problem,
unless the
individual character has some further immunity.
3. What is the art being colored
with?
I (Scott)
color photocopies of Mark's original art (either inked like traditional
comic book
art, or penciled and shaded in gray scale) with Tria markers.
They are
manufactured by Letraset
, and use the Pantone Matching System.
They are
alcohol based markers, so I have to pay attention to bleeding, but
the colors
are superb, and I can't recommend them highly enough.
4. Isn't the name Bodsquad already
being used?
Well, yes,
technically. The last time we checked, Bodsquad or Bod Squad was
being used
by: a pornographic web site; an online women's heath forum; a
line of childrens'
clothes; a cheerleading team; and a women's roller blade
team on television.
U.S. patent law allows the same name to be used for
different
products (we are doing comic books and related fiction, which is
distinct
from the above mentioned uses); other countries laws may differ.
Still, to
avoid confusion, the official name of both our comic book and our
web sites
(yes, there will be a second one...) is BODSQUAD-X. The team
will still
just be called The Bodsquad within the stories, but we feel that the
title change
is prudent.
