My Resume

I'm currently stationed aboard America's only permanently forward deployed aircraft carrier, USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) in port Yokosuka, Japan. In my job here, I write news stories for the "Kitty Hawk Flyer" our on-board newspaper and for external release. I also give guests tours of the ship and take care of distinguished visitors when they visit the ship. And I help my shipmates get their stories in their hometown newspapers throught the Fleet Hometown News Program.

As the oldest active ship in the Navy, commissioned on April 29, 1961, Kitty Hawk has the honor of flying the first American Flag in addition to the classic "Stars and Stripes".

During the 2000 Spring Deployment, USS Kitty Hawk visited four outstanding ports of call. Click on any one of them to see some of my favorite memories.
