| I love photography! Having sustained the passion, enthusiasm, and interest for it over the past several decades, I feel this continuous urge to take pictures (make images, record scenes, capture moments - however you would like to describe the process). Whether it's the beauty of nature, a family activity, aspects from travel or work, friends, or simply life's ongoing display, I have and continue to raise my camera and release the shutter. That fractional second of light exposure I have allowed onto my film plane has resulted in an image hundreds of times over. Those instants, frozen in time, have provided much satisfaction and enjoyment from the time I first see the developed results to providing perhaps even more enjoyment when I view them ten, twenty, thirty years later. As the years go by they invoke the nostalgia of the past as I recall the circumstances and events under which they were taken and what I was doing in my life at that time. "Call me sentimental" but that is the effect photography has on me!
