| Meagan is a PhD student studying Botany and Ecology at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. She has a black lab named Chiara and a cute little white house. She intends to finish school in December 2006 and then will join Tom in Chicago. | |
| ABOUT THOMAS | |
| Tom is a police officer in Chicago. He has 12 years until retirement and hopes to stay in Chicago until then before he and Meagan move to the Rocky Mountains. He has a very adorable pit bull named Daisy, who is very good friends with Chiara. | |
| HOW WE MET | |
| We met at a July wedding of two dear friends, Gretchen and Steve, in Ronan, Montana. | |
| WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED | July 2, 2005 |
| HOW IT HAPPENED | |
| Meagan was sick so Tom had the ring in his pocket waiting for an appropriate time. While Tom was shaving, Meagan stuck her hand in his pockets to give a hug (to avoid messing up the shaving!) and accidentally found the ring! Oops... So, Tom decided that was the best time to ask and got down on one knee right there on the second floor landing in his house! | |

| DRIVING DIRECTIONS | |
| From Denver, take Interstate 70 West. Just past Idaho Springs, take exit 232 - Highway 40 North. Follow highway 40 through Winter Park and then through Fraser. Three miles past Fraser, turn right onto County Road 83. Bear right at the only intersection, following the signs to Devil’s Thumb. The Wild Horse Inn is 1.5 miles from Highway 40 on your right. Just look for the sign! | |
