C.V.
I began blacksmithing in 1992 ( at the age of 16 ). I attended a course in "Basic Blacksmithing" at The Western Development Museum in Saskatoon. The course was presented by the Saskatchewan chapter of the Western Canadian Blacksmiths' Guild.
I am an avid knife/sword maker and prefer to use "Damascus Steel" for construction of knives. I have learned the art of "Pattern Welding" by hard work, persistence and experimentation. I Have experimented with Japanese Bladesmithing and Heat Treatment
Current projects include chain mail, finishing a Damascus fantasy knife and tempering a Japanese Damascus sword
I consider myself purely a hobbyist, I have completed knife commissions for friends and relatives across Canada.
If you have any questions relating to knifemaking, or forging please take the time to send me an E-Mail. I will try my best to help you out if I can.
