Poetry

When I have free time I like to try my hand at acrylic painting and poetry. I'm not very good at either but I try. It helps if I have something to inspire me. I also like hanging out with two of my favorite people, Scott and Casey.

Hiking Sites

The picture shown above is of the Maroon Bells in Aspen, Colorado. The peak reaches 14,000 feet. Once you see it in person it is unforgettable. The mountains have distinctive horizontal striations.

Closer to home, I like to visit Huntsville State Park. They have a great hiking trail plus lots of fun things to do (horse riding, canoeing, paddle boating, etc.) Another favorite spot is Enchanted Rock. It's not only for rock climbers. There is a fairly steep trail to the top of the rock. Once on top you can explore and go caving if you can find the entrance. The caves are definitely not for the faint of heart and you must bring a flashlight.

Pet Pictures
I have some great pictures of my dogs Spike and Ginger. Spike is a Red Miniature Pinscher. Her registered name is Red Spiked Heel. She was born on August 25, 1996. She is kinda small for her breed (only 6 lbs.) but she is absolutely beautiful.

Ginger is a Chocolate Lab. She was born in September, 2001. She's still a baby and full of energy.
