"The Powderburner Relaxing at Home"
Hi I want to welcome you here to my homestead. My given name is John Michael Parrott, but I am known as "Lone Eagle" on the trail.
Life in the late 1800's was kinda laid back, but was also a very hard time.
As I write this page I hope to show some of the good times and bad time of the original Mountain Men as well as the great times I have had since the year of the "Big Rains of 89" when I started to find my life as a Buckskinner. I have made many great friends and I'm always looking to meet new ones. So feel free to visit often, I enjoy getting E-mail.
Most of all sign my guestbook so I know who has called on me.

""I AM A MOUNTAIN MAN!""
My mother was a badger, my father was a griz, I can out shoot, out fight, out cuss, and out drink any man. I have the fastest horse, the sharpest knife, and the finest rifle in the mountains. Hear my challenge echo in the valleys for any man of any nation to try to lift my top knot. I will fight to the death for my fight to be a free man, to trap the beaver and to hunt the elk, to drink from cool streams, and to sleep under the stars. I have no road to follow, I make my own. I have no man to answer to except myself. I fear no creature on God's green earth, for I am a Mountain Man!
