Welcome to my Home page, I
hope you enjoy the visit. JP
I have created this web site for friends and for people who know me or my family. I intend to include as much information as possible.
Doris and I were married in Halifax, January 6, 1984, we went to the same schools together since grade 7, however, we did not know each other through school. We met during the party period of our lives, late teens and early twenties. From then on we have remained
happily together since. We have two wonderful children Ashley and Brian, both were born in the Halifax Grace Maternity Hospital. Ashley was born on a very snowy day March 8, 1984 and Brian was born on a hot summer day August 15, 1985. Pictures of the children are posted on my photo page. Ashley has completed a 2 year Social Worker Program at Algonquin College and now is enrolled in Carleton University working towards her masters in Social Work. Brian remains home with us and is very helpful around the house. Doris has been working as a Health Care Aide before we met, and she continues to work in this field on and off. She has a keen interest in genealogy, and she has been researching her family history with much success.
Doris was born April 11, 1961.
Her mother is living in Fox Point. Her brothers and sisters are all doing fine, her brother John is kept very busy with his business
Young Forest Improvements. He is married and has two charming children. Her other brother
Alan is employed as a Captain of a research vessel stationed off Vancouver Island, BC. Alan is married and also has two children. Doris has two sisters Linda and Tisha both unfortunately are divorced but are enjoying life. Linda has two children Shawn and Lee-Ann, both are out on their own. Tisha has one child Sarah Drake who is a
very smart and outgoing young girl, with little fear of the dentist. Tisha is employed part-time with a company located in Tantallon. Listed from left to right - John, Doris, Winnie, Herbie, Linda, Tisha and Alan.
For me, I have been employed with the Canadian Armed Forces since April 1988 as a Resource Management Services Clerk, which means Administrative and Financial matters. My career has taken me from Nova Scotia to Petawawa and Ottawa thus far. I also had the
opportunity to serve with the United Nations for a six month tour in the Middle East (Israel/Syria). I plan to remain in the military for at least 20 years and continue my education. Once I retire I would like to serve with the United Nations overseas. I was born 25 December 1961. I enjoy keeping fit, karate, camping and hiking, some of my interests are
playing the guitar, spending time with my family and trying to learn how to
paint.
My family are all residing in Nova Scotia, my Mom is living in the same place Puddle Hill; Queensland, but in a new home the old one was torn down and replaced with a much more up-to-date home. My Mother (maiden name Sheila Snair) is retired and enjoys her crafts and home life, she is presently 65 years old. My Father (Jim Poole) recently passed away of a heart attack March 9, 1999, he was working with the Halifax Shipyards for the last 13
years, he was 58 years old. My sister Wanda is 6 years older than me, she is the oldest of the four of us. She is married to Ian and they have three children, Shauna, Alison and Kristopher. Shauna has moved away from home and is living in
BC and the other remain in Nova Scotia. My older brother Dan is married to Gail
and they have one child, Matthew, he is almost the same age as Brian and he likes to fish with his dad. Dan works with the City of Halifax and he has build a fine home
for his family. Lastly my younger brother John, growing up we were very close to one another but time away and
separation has made us rather distant. John has started a new life out in Edmonton, AB. Listed from left to right - Dan, John, Wanda, Sheila and Jim.
