Whether it be on horseback, or walking with a Rott, there is no truer Friend than an animal.

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our Rottn Boy Samson in June. .travel well, Samson.

The Horses

I have had a love of horses and dogs for as long as I can remember. I spent my summers riding my bike to a friends place just to ride horseback all day. On occasion, I would ride into town  and used the horse to jump my mother's white fence as many times as I could before doing any damage to lawn or fence!

It wasn't until my late twenties, that I owned my first horse, and from there, the avenues opened up, and I soon bought a 5 acre ranch with a barn that could house four horses instead of one.  It didn't take long before I got bit by the show bug, and began trailering to every show I could find, becoming, if I do say so myself, pretty darn successful.

Over the years, I have owned Arabians, Appaloosas, Thoroughbreds, before finally settling with Quarter Horses and Paints. I have started a breeding program of foundation stock, still showing and have started judging Open Horse Shows. I also am a riding instructor as well as a small magazine editor.

The Dogs

I remember driving my mother nuts bringing home the strays in our neighborhood.  Growing up, I helped my father raise Blue Tick Hounds and Beagles litters  to full fledge hunting duos.  I've owned various Heinz 57 specials, loving each and every one of them.  As with the horses, it wasn't until later in life that I found the breeds I loved most: the Doberman and the Rottweiler.

My Rottie girl, Lynn & I.

I purchased my first ball of Rottie fur either years ago, Lady Cassandra Von Loudon. She gave me two beautiful litters, out of the first came her son that I kept, Lady Cassandra's Masterpiece (Samson).  A year ago, Samson sired his first litter out of my bitch Vom Kiki Lynn, out of which I kept Masterpieces Mirror Image. My house is currently owned by four Rotties, with hopes for a litter in the sprint.

It is in loving memory of the first "Lady" who started it all, that I will continue to promote the breed for the loving, caring, devoted companion they are, as well as dispelling any of the bad reputations that they have. Rotties are NOT born that way, and I am very selective in who I allow to adopt my babies.

Myself

My name is Diane. I love anything to do with the West: the history, the cowboy, the American Indians, cattle, homesteading, and of course, the Horse. I believe that the West is the backbone of our country, and am proud to be a country girl, happiest in my blue jeans and boots.

I have recently become an ordained Minister for the Christian Cowboy, and hope to minister to those at shows and other horse related events when a fellow Horseman needs a prayer and a talk with God.

COWBOYS LOVE GOD TOO!

Philippians 4:29--And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
