Hello all. Just a few pictures from my trip to Northwestern Oregon. There are two air museums there. The first is built around the Spruce Goose. It's in McMinnville. This is a very nice museum with some very professional displays. The second is in Tillamok which is near the coast. It is built inside an old airship hanger. There were two hangers on the site but the other one burnt down in the 90's. The remaining one is huge. It's over 1000 feet long on the inside and, well, just look a the pictures. |

Here is a fine example of a B-17. This one is behind the Right wing of the Spruce Goose. The guy sitting down WOULD NOT MOVE so I'm publishing his pucture on the web. Location: McMinnville |

I think this is a Super Guppy. Everything's big at Tillamook. Located on the drive into the hanger. |

I've always liked PBY's. I poked around this for a while and finally decided to get a shot of me next to it. Don't let the scale fool you, the plane's really big. |

Looks like they answered the question about immovable objects and irresistable forces with this guy. This wasn't a display, it was just parked out there with no tresspassing signs. Whoops. |

Spruce Goose. They built this hanger for this aircraft and that pit in the middle of the hanger so the plane can sit lower. They're still working on that part. Maybe they'll make it look like it's floating? The plane cannot go anywhere, it's too big to go through the door! |

Again, don't let the scale fool you. The small tent to the left behind the B-25 and P-51 is where they house most of the collection. It's really not small. This is a timed exposure as the hanger was fairly dark inside. I was told they could pull an Aircraft Carrier AND a Battleship into this hanger side-by-side! It's over 1000 feet long. You have to be there to get an idea of the scale. |

Oh, and if you didn't know, we bought a new Grand Caravan Sport. Notice the little building behind it? |

I had to walk forever to get this shot with a 28mm lens! Notice the itty bitty car next to the hanger? |
