A little about me
Howdy
cowboy, the names Steve, I was born and live here in the Yakima
Valley located in Central Washington State...Its a great place to
live if your an apple...Growing up on the family farm under the
shadows of the Cascade mountains was a great beginning...My youth
was spent building forts on the ground and in trees, exploring
the country side, and endless games of tag... I guess I never
lost that since of knowing where I came from, and I consider
myself a child of the dirt...Give me a shovel, seeds and a bag of
shit and turn me loose...A teacher by trade, I spend most of my
time with kids shorter than my belt buckle, its a tough job
turning them into little buckaroos but someones gotta do it,
besides before they pass they need to know how to two step, spit,
and say howdy.... However I live for weekends and summer break
when I can spend the days wandering the Cascades...They offer an
endless source of strength and peace...I never tire of the sounds
of the creek tumbling over the rocks, or the sight of elk
thundering through the pines...The joys of swimming in the
crystal clear lakes, or just sitting beside the fire and watching
the stars above...I think critters and nature are one of Gods
greatest gifts...And then he had to go and blow it by making
mosquitoes...Go figure.... I would love to have someone to share
the hike with, and if your ever out this way, come sit by my
fire, most things in life are always better when shared...A beer,
a hike, a life.....
