INTRODUCTION.
Welcome to COASTWISE  NAVIGATION  Sailing & Power Boating School
and the exciting world of Sailing & Power Boating.

Our unique Instruction Programs teach on-the-water skills through practice and demonstration with only a minimum of text-book study to support your practical skills.

These Notes have been prepared as a suppliment to aid all Mariners, no matter their level of experience or expertise. It is hoped that this volume will grow as new data and experiences become available.

Your contributions will be greatly appreciated so as to achieve that result.

Experienced Mariners, (our staff included), will tell you that they learn something new each day on the water, which is one of the joys of boating. Therefore, as some of you may be at the beginning of your learning curve it is expected that you will be inundated with new experiences. However as you progress through the world of     boating the curve will lessen but always be there.

For the more experienced Mariner we hope that these humble pages will either reinforce your existing knowledge or show you a new approach to common problems.

May the Winds Favour You,

Ross McLean.

The Purpose of these notes.
The purpose of these 'Notes' is to Introduce Mariners to other ways of carrying out their duties while onboard vessels at sea.
To this end we will cover here a variety of topics which
all are free to download and use for their own needs.

However we ask that you
do not sell or proffit financially in any way from these notes as they are the property of Coastwise Navigation Sailing and Power Boating School.

If you find these notes in error or lacking in detail we, here at
Coastwise, hope you will share your concerns with us, as the only way Mariners learn is by the sharing of knowledge.

We have provided these 'Notes' in good faith therefore if you continue to view these pages "by default"  you are accepting the above statements.
